here is my newly built hydro grow, which is also my first grow ever

Specs:
4 CFLs (Only using 2 right now)
1 Fan
Temp is about 77 Degrees
Humidity is about 35%
3 Gallon Storage Container with about 1.5 gallons of water
2 Long Air Stones


I know the reservoir is small, but its the only size that fits in this stealth cabinet. Im just planning on checking/changing the water more often
I just transplanted my plant from soil, and these pics were taken right after the transplant.
So well see if it makes it.

Cool man good luck with the grow. You should probable add some reflectors to the CFL it makes a huge differance.

Looks good man.. Your probably going to wanna cover that other hole unless you're putting another plant in there.. Light + Water = Algae.. looks good other than that though.. have you been watering the plant from the top so far?

I'm pumped, our plants are almost exactly the same age.. STRAIN REVIEW! just kidding..I'm using bag seed and I'm guessing you are too? Only because you didn't say the strand..

yeah man bag seed here too
and i just covered that whole up
and i also put some reflective tape on that top surface

did you say that you watered them from the top
like you watered them by just pouring water on them like you would with soil

yeah, I had my res level up about an inch above the bottom of the pot and also watered every day or two until I saw roots.

Hi,

I'm just 16 days into my first DWC grow, really enjoying it. A couple of things I noticed and if I’m wrong please don't hastate to correct me. And maybe you should wait for a second opinion.

I think you should raise your pump to above the level of the REZ, because water can back up along the air line and short your pump.

I didn't find it necessary to water the pots from the top, if that is Rockwool under those clay balls you should be fine, with the REZ level about level with the bottom of the Rockwool.

yeah, but it didn't look like his res level was that high though.. that's why I figured he was top watering..

also, I run one of the same pumps it should have come with two anti-siphon plugs.. only lets air one direction. They are a good idea if your pump is below your res. But if you don't have them, he's right, just raise your pump.
