Thumbs up EBB & Flow questions

So long story short I go to thw local hydro shop on Sunday to buy some fox farm, because I have a sour grapes mother plant that is like 2 and a half feet tall and just taking to much space in my veg room. Said store is out of fox farm Ocean forest for like a week they tell me so I'm like well I'm already here so I brought a 3x3 table and all the fixins for it. I gonna take cuts to day so I need to set this thing by this weekend any input would be nice. Thanks guys and gals

    As for the questions.
** Do I need to use pots in the ebb flow table or can I just drop the Grow cubes in the Hydrotron and be good to go?
** I see some people use pots and others not... is there any reason to use pots?
** Do I need to cover the top of the table?
Just because threads are worthless without pics, and for bones points I was thinking like 20-25 cuts would work in the 3x3 tray. Is that the right amount of plants for the space?

You can do both. People like to use pots so they can move them around and rotate the plants and stuff. Also there are some pots that will air prune the roots. You can also fill your entire tray with grow rocks and put the rockwool cubes right in there.

If you experience algae you can cover the top and have them plants poke out of them. If you don't flood too high you shouldn't have to worry about that iv'e found out.

As far as numbers, check my journal out bro! I did 25 plants in a 4x4. I would do 20 if I were you though. Also, keep veg to a MINIMAL! Seriously man, mine exploded once I flowered them. As a result, my garden got too crowded and they were fighting for light and grew into each other. I vegged for 4 weeks so id recommend 2 MAX. Check it out in my sig.
