    Default Flood timer malfunction

I thought was first grow was going well till this morning. I have my timer that floods my table set to 4 minutes 3 times a day. But timer malfunctioned some time last night and stayed on at least 3 hours. Just started 5th week of flower with white widow. I hope my girls will recover. Any advice would be much appreciated.IMG_0748.jpgIMG_0746.jpgIMG_0739.jpgIMG_0740.jpgIMG_0741.jpgIMG_0743.jpg

Happen to me once or twice ...... didn't effect the plants at all. I have never seen a plant change drastically overnight, unless it's flat out dying. Looks like nute. burn or heat stress, I'd definitely flush with plain ph-ed water for a day. It does appear your lower branches aren't as effected, could be heat stress. Is that a Grodan rockwool slab? what wattage light? Tell us more.

Yes i do think it could have been heat stress...Last Thursday temps got a little to hot. Since then i have been running my H.V. inline fan whenever my light is on. I am using rockwool slabs, 1000 watt hps lighting, and gh nova nutes.

Keep your 1000w at least 20" above the canopy, Optimum is something like 22"- 28" You can also hold back of hand facing up, under the light if it gets too hot in under a min. your too close. I was wondering are those Grodan slabs? Good luck, buds are getting fat.

Yup just get that light up your baking the top buds is all. The water will be fine. Use the hand test described and once you get to where the heat is just tolerable on back of your hand go up 2 inches.

I was wondering about the slabs...... been using them for over 20 years with great success, but started having trouble about 18 months ago. I Switched to Hydroton. Glad to help.

I moved my light 22 inches away from the plants. I have some crispy leaves around the buds on the main colas. Buds and the rest of the plants look good. Should i remove the crisp leaves?

That's really a judgement call. I'd remove some below the 4th or 5th node set from the top, & leave the rest alone until the leaf stem is almost dead.
