EC is electrical conductivity, which has to do with the ammount of nutrient salts in solution. I refer to ec over ppm, since every brand has a different measurement for ppm, whether it is at .5 or .7. I use a blue lab truncheon, about $150, which has ppm, cf, and ec. If you don't know your ec, let me know what brand meter you have and the ppm. As far as supplements, I highly recommend using Dyna gro pro-tekt. It contains silica which strengthens plant stems and tissue, and this adds more protection against leaf suckers like aphids and spider mites. Add it first, and it will raise the ph quite high, but when adjusted to 5.8 it holds well. I used to use gh 3 part, and for flower found that starting with 0-5-5 with 5 ml of liquid koolbloom, and ending with 0-4-6 with 1 gram per gallon dry koolbloom worked well. A low ec for sure, only about 1.0-1.2, but plants don't need that much to thrive. I have lots of tests with gh 3 part, if you have any q's just ask. I'm also running a side by side comparison with floralicious plus, as it seems to add a nice touch of sweetness. I just changed over to dyna gro recently as the ph adjustments are non existent.
nice plants! cant wait to see the finished product!
I would def aviod cutting the roots.
Here are some recent pics I took today. I had some yellowing on the top leaves so I had to flush them, the room stunk like farts for 2 days..is it because it was cleaning all the nutrients out of itself??
Due to the advice Im going to add cal/mag supplement next feeding and go easy on the the nutrient solution..been going full strength from the gate and caused some yellowing on the tops (could have been due to the lights being so close as well..
She grew almost 300% since i started 12/12...and goes thru 5 gals of water/mix every 3 days or so...root mass is huge and i think she is done getting taller...smells wonderful in the room..very lemony...ladies look happy and are starting to get trichromes on the leaves...
enjoy the pics and thanks for the advice...
