Water feels slimy in my bubble cloner

The water has been in there 5 days. Temps are from low 70's to low 90's. Ph is the high 5's.
The walls, air tube, and the foam rubber plugs to hold the clones all felt slimy. Its a 1 gal tupperware bin completely covered in black duct tape.

Is this algae starting?
Should I add another layer of tape in case this isnt blocking all the light?
I cant get it any cooler in there during the summer. Should I use soil until it cools off?

Sounds like the onset of slime. What do you have in there to combat slime? I think most guys use Aquashield in those things.

Can't get it any cooler? Helpful tip, black absorbs heat ;)

I get a slight coating of slime around my air line, i ignore it to good results :) (as i do the temperature, ph, ppm et al)

Just ph'd water, no additives. My plan was to change the water once a week before any shit started growing in it. As I now see, thats not gonna work.

Good call on the black. I'll spring for that metal reflective tape instead.

Both of my reservoir sit on the cool basement floor leavingthem at a relatively cool temperature of 24.1 C or 75.38 F. I also get a clearslime on the air hose and sides of the tote, ect. I also don't worry much aboutit at reservoir changes I drain the entire thing and wipe everything down witha cotton rag. It wipes of easily and doesn't seem to be affecting anything inthe veg or flower totes and I do weekly changes. During my changes I useFloraKleen at the I usually let it run for 45 min to an hr. before I change itout and wipe everything down. It is also aerated and suplmentary recycles (besides returning from the drain) during the watering times. My friend who worked at a local pet store used to place large aquarium pumps to move the water around which doesn't allow stuff to form on the surface.

What advantages would FloraShield (ooppss Aquashield) bring to this situation asit was suggested?
