I am currently looking into using a DWC setup for a relatively small grow (4-5 plants, but they can't get taller than 30 inches).
I was wondering if there was a minimum depth that the big reservoir they sit in needs. I ask because I'm limited on height, and it would make my life a lot easier to expand the reservoir horizontally rather than vertically. The reservoir I envision now is 6-7 inches tall, and about 30 inches in diameter. Is that too shallow? |

should work fine i would think, just keep in mind that your light if its a mh and hps will have to have headroom above the plant , most people keep 400w hps lights like 12-20 inches above their plant tops and if your goin cfl then i think you can get pretty close to the actual plants
