Default homemade aero
i have an idea to create an aeroponic stup using 200mm pvc pipe with holes cut out and net pots and simple irrigation tube with misters either side of pots ends will be capped and pipe slightly angled with pipe back to resevoir im fairly new to this only grown in soil b4 and only twice any feedback/ideas/improvements would be appreciated thanx in advance

Good thinking, Man. One suggestion, check out plastic fence posts. They come in 8 foot lengths, are heavy-duty plastic, and not very expensive. And they're square.

GH's AeroFlo 1 was made with round tubes, the improved AeroFlo 2 is made with square tubes. It seems the square bottom allows a lot more room for the root mat to be bathed by the nutes.

For making holes in any thick plastic, those Dremel Rotary Tools are the nuts.

yeah got one of those, im in the construction industry so thought i could do it cheap, pipe left on site all the time but if you think thnts better i will go with u m8 read many of ur posts and am sure u know what ur talkin about ill keep u posted on my progress cheers 30 odd views and ur the only reply thanx again pot

Hi to all,
Glad to here there are other construction workers here.Been in the trades for 25 years now.Now days I see things on the job and think that would be a great resevoir.Any way check out the urbangrower.com, volume 3. The guy claude build a unit like you are talking about.It might give you alittle insite on your build.As hydro go's I'am starting a cab build here in a few days,most of my ebb&flow tray and stuff will be here today.The is cab 50"w x 27"d x 78" high divided in two secton.One for the veg and one for seeds&clones.When I start this build I'll post pix and a update as I build.My cab will have 22"x22"x7" tray and 15gal. resevoir,one 400watt kooltube ,two 10"x20"seed trays with domes.One for seeds will have two 24"flo and one 10"x20" tray with dome and two 24"flo for the clones.A 4" vortex fan and 200cfm carbon filter.I have builded a drip flowering unit in the closet with a 400watt HPS light and electronic ballast.The veg cab has a 400watt MH light and electronic ballast.After the build I'll start a log on how it all works out.

I have done the big pvc pipe and the fence posts but like the fence posts better easier to keep soilidly put. You can see mine in my gallery or in my journel with actual pics of the homemade setup in action.Heres the link to the journel..
