2/3 leaves aint any bad sign of it being male dont worrie!!. one thing some advice if this dont work out or for your next grow,
use soil for you seedling its much easyer and less stress cus all this your going though and they aint even sexed yet:(
plus then you can clone as many as you want and pick the best ones. also either DIY or buy a NFT systen to veg them
so when you stick the bigger vegged out plant in the ebb you can go strait to having nutes and not having so much ph
issues, well its just some food for thought either way you will get it under control

Yes and its driving me crazy. I talked to the guy at the dispensery today and he said dont worry bout it too much. He said just keep doin what Ive been doin but to not adjust it more than 1.0 is 24 hours. So we'll see I guess. Its still hitting 7 just about every 2 days.
How's your PPMs? Stable? Are you using hydroton? How did you clean your hydroton?

I know the 3 leaves isnt a sign of it being male. I read that plants with the 3 leaves will have 3 budsites instead of 2. Thats why Im hoping its female so I can clone it. I hear it is kind of rare to have a 3 leaved plant. Thanks for the tips too. I will definetly keep it in mind for next time!

My ppms really havent moved but I havent started nutes yet. I am planning on starting the nutes within the next week. Hopefully that will help the ph. Yes I am using hydroton and I cleaned it with tap water. I just rinsed, rinsed, rinsed, and rerinsed.

normal and desired
sorta....you don't want to be spending to much time with the ph over 6.0 with plants in veg....but with straight h20 it won't matter....since there are no nutes to uptake. Having the ph drift the low 5's to the 6.3...6.5 max ....7 is too high you will be locking out: P, K, Ca, Fe and B and thats bad mmmmmmmmmmk
good luck

No h2o2 yet. I cant find it anywhere around here and Im scared to order it online...
If u do happen to want to run H2O2, this is how I was able to find it: get on google maps and search 'chemical supply' and see if there is a chemical supply house in your town. Chances are there is and you will be able to buy 35% grade there. A 1 gallon jug will usually cost about $15 and last u quite a while.

And good luck with the PH!

Did you dry off all that excess water before using it? My problem was although hydroton doesn't absorb the water like some mediums there was still enough water on mine to make my res tank go nuts.

My advice is to add the nutes first then balance the ph. Your ph will come down with nutes. Or at least mine did. Whats your ppms like straight out of the tap?

I rinsed it and then it sat for a for a while. It was in my pots for maybe a week or a little longer before I actually started running my res. I am hoping when I start the nutes it will calm things down with the ph. My ppm right out of the tap runs 250-300.

damn, are you sure we don't have the same grow going on? Sounds like exactly my situation. Ph was all over the place for a while now it stabilized but my PPMs are way too high for how small my plants are.

Crazy... When did you start adding your nutes? I hear I should wait till my plants get 2 sets of leaves. Now some have 2 sets and some still only have 1 set. So I dont know when I will start the nutes... I heard if your tap ppm is say 300 and you need to set your ppm to 800 then you ppm will read 1100. It will always read 300 over the nutes that you put in?

if it reads 300 right off add nutes to get 500ppm total, before you add post some new updated pics

they are at tap water at 300ppm and there fine and 200ppm is hardly anything. if it were me I would add it but thats me.
I hit clones that have roots with 600ppms and they take right off.

I added nutes pretty much right away til about 500-600ppms. it was jumping all over the place and having a pump in my res tank recirculate kind of helped them stabilize I think or it just needed some time to calm the hell down once my Ph stabilized.

Ok...I just checked my ppm and it is 500 and I havent added any nutes yet. Should I empty my res, refill with water and then add the nutes?

wtf your tap water is 500ppm? if thats true dude your going to have to get a RO filter
The 500ppm reading came from the water in my res that had been there for probably 2 weeks with no nutes being added.

I did end up emptying out the res and refilled with tapwater and then added 1/4 nutes. I checked the ppm out of the tap and it was 180 and the ph was 9.6. I added the nutes and then adjusted ph down to 5.8. Checked the ppm after adding nutes and they were 400.
