i use paper towel method for growing in dirt.
same thing for hydro, or do i germinate in rockwell cubes???

I use a combination of the paper towel method and soaking in a cup. But I wouldn't try to germ in RW.

i don't use rockwool (i use small pieces of rapid rooter just to hold the seed in place) but i germinate using paper towel method to ensure i'm planting viable seeds.

i used a cotton wool pads, cos i had no paper towels that day, anyway i used a cotton wool pad, wet it. placed the seeds on top, and put another cotton pad, also wet it, and placed it on top. then i put on top of sky/cable box cos its warm, and placed a plastic container on top, of the cotton buds, like in the pic. try it works. i use this method it works well 100% sucsess so far.

once u put them in the rockwool after they have transplanted fron the towel do u guys put light on them or do u wait till they pop out of the rockwool before light?

yeah whats after that... how do i put it in the pot ? with the thing showing facing upwards or downwards ?

just use paper towel meth. and after the top roots popped after 2 days or so, plant into soil. tap root down. its the easyest way to learn how to grow, and also a safe and easy way. and when the plant starts to grow put under flos and whtch em grow.

so the little white thing thats hanging out is the roots ? so face down ?

the little white thing is called the taproot and yes, it is the first root and should be planted facing down towards the soil/water. after a few days the first green will appear as a stem with two little oval-shaped leaves called cotyledon growing towards the sky. Sometimes the seed will get stuck on the cotyledon leaves - you can leave it there since it will fall off on its own. See the pix - my fave is the one with the seed attached.
