i re-checked my ph in my res and its @ 7.8!!!!! what can i do to lower it carefully???

You can use distilled white vinegar to lower ph and baking soda to raise it IN A PINCH but it won't work well for you long term. You will need some ph up and down to stabilize ph.

another good temporary solution is lemon juice. for long term you'll need to get a ph down.

i just order a gallon of ph down from GH...no wonder my plants are looking so light... thanks to my new nutrient control wizard or i would never have caught it. my other was way off calibration!
