not sure on advice for the strains of weed to grow, but from what i have seen the best use for the AG is as a mother/cloning station.

Please keep in mind that i have not actually harvested anything out of my Ag yet. BUt i am a pretty fart smucker and tend to read between the lines and keep eyes on the writing on the wall.

heres what i see,

1.) my res is always filled to the brim whenever i replenish. sometimes i overfill and it spills out a little.

2.)i have to add 1/2 gallon every 48hours.

3.) i have 3 females growing now, which leaves 4 empty spots for clones.

4.) if you grow one female mother plant, you could clone off it into the other empty AG spots without putting too much stress on the res and AG.

5.) make second flower area with container and make holes the size of the Ag holes.

6.) when clones show roots you can just pic the whole pod up out of the AG and place into new spot for flower.

7.) then cut new clones and start the process over again.

i am guessing that one mother plant will consume about 1/8 to 1/4 of a gallon of solution in a 48 hour period, so that would mean i could go almost 4-5 days between fills. much better than every 24 or 48 hours. and the clones should not affect it too much.

i also bend my plants over and will do the same for the single mother.
this will help to promote more growth for the mother as well as keeping the clones in the path of light.

i drew a picture of my idea and will attach it again.
dont follow what i say, but use my info and come up with best idea for your situation.

i still think about everything i just said above and keep coming up with possibly better variations.

anyhow, thats my plan and i sticking to it.

Well think for the response. Do need to learn that cloning bizness. This time around I started with seeds in the AG then moved the two that lived to Hempy Buckets once they got fairly big. Let one get too big I think. They have been in bloom going on about 3 weeks but aint showing much sign of blooming. The fella at the hyrdro store said if they in bloom dont try cloning with them. Does that sound logical? Thanks.

i have heard of people cloning in flower. it may be little tougher but i dont really know.

also, dont make the mistake i made.

when you change to 12/12 to flower, keep up on the veg nutes for 1-2 weeks. that will help them grow more and the light cycle will get them to grow the flowers. then after you sex them continue to use the veg over bloom nutes and try to decrease over time and increase bloom nutes.


example: i use GH 3 part formula of veg,micro and bloom nutes.
so we have VEG-MICRO-BLOOM


my nutes for growing at start are 1-1-1 (1-3weeks)
then 2-1-1 (2-4weeks)
then 3-2-1....(3-5weeks)

when i switch to 12/12 the nutes should go this way:

3-2-1 (1-3 weeks)
then 2-2-2 (2-4weeks)
then 1-1-3 (3-5weeks)

so for the final bloom stages you have more bloom nutes as opposed to veg nutes.
p.s. i am not adding up the weeks so dont do that.
everyones setup is different and adding/changing nutes will be on different time scales. you may change from 1-1-1 on week 2 and start running 2-1-1 then on week 4 go to 3-2-1 concentration.

you will need to seee what works for you

Has anybody tried using ScrOG technique with the aerogarden deluxe? If so, how did it go? How high did you set the screen?

not doing scrog but i have LST'd my plants to maximize my grow space.

i wil post pictures as best i can.

i messed up on timing though so they havent grow the 1-2 times more while in flower.

i trying to re-adjust my nutes back to a more veg state to allow m buds to grow before i start upping the bloom nutes and reduce the veg nutes.

i totally f'd it up and hoping to recover. they seem to be ok for now.

Well guess I screwed up too. I went direct to bloom nutes..which with the Pro Blend Pro I dont think is much different than the grow nutes. Aint much if any lower than on the N ration anyway. Then this fella pops up on here who says he has a pal who uses the bloom nutes only from start to finish and dont bother flushing. Claims he got the best tasting bud in town. I called the dope head over at the hydro shoppe about possibly going back on the grow nutes and he said dont do it. I been trying to bloom for about 3 week but I dont see no buds or signs of sex yet. I'm fixing to have to LST I think. I got one which is getting mighty tall. Taller than the AG lights anyway. I can raise em but gonna have to unhook em and dangle from the ceiliing. I been smoking the leaves which fall off and got a purty good buzz going Whutcha think?

i have read that plenty of people switch from 12/12 to 18./6 as soon as they see the flowers.

flush your res, go with the veg concentration and keep lights on 12/12

it will be the lights that make them flower not the nutes. the nutes will make them grow, at least the veg ones will, once you have determined sex then keep up with veg nutes over bloom for like 1-3 weeks, then start reducing veg side and increase bloom side for last 2-3 weeks.

THEN flush with plain water for atleast 48 hours i think. anyone back me up on the flush. this is what i plan on doing.

that may be true, but from what it sounds like his plants are already shocked if not growing.

i think he made the same mistake i did by adding bloom nutes immediately after switching to 12/12.

since i have adjusted my formula back to a higher veg concentration, i believe the buds are growing bigger.

also, if he keeps up with the bloom nutes he should start to see some salt deposits, which should be removed every so often.

i tend to change my res now when i have added back the amount my res holds.

the AG holds ~1.25gallons, so when i top off my res with an amount that equals 1.25 gallons, i dump and replenish with new solution.
