Thanks potroast that sounds pretty good to me if that is the case, I was a
bit concerned it may cause possible hot spots, do you think there is a chance of this or not? While I have your attention I have a query on a ball shaped growth noticed on 1 of my babies today, you seem quite knowledgable as I have read a number of your posts in the past, can you give me any insight to whether this is a pre-flowre or not please ![]() Any other thoughts/suggestions from anybody is welcomed |

I don't think that you will get hot spots, because the surface is smooth.
That appears to be a preflower, and it appears to be a male preflower. It's hard to tell, though, and you should grow it out, and induce flowering to be certain. The triplex-node trait is nice, I've seen it once, and if it's a female, she will have a nice yield. That leaf-edge curling you have is probably from too hot or too dry. HTH

Yeah Roast if the curling is due to to hot or dry then you would be right mate, humidity is only 15-30%, I have 2 towels in there hanging up which dry out twice a day. I water the towels in the morning and before I go to bed, dry each time. The humidity must get sucked straight out as it evapourated off the towels. The temps get to 37 (100) max temp with a min of 20 (55) daily, can't help it with this HPS light in there. I suck air from my sub floor which is always cold... fucks me what to do

Polished metal (85-95%) has about the same reflectance as mylar (92%) without the hot spot problem found with mirrors and the shiny side of aluminum foil. But as someone else mentioned this is rarely brought up because of the cost associated with polished metal. But since your cost is free! no worries!

most definetly! I went to the dollar sto' and got 2 packs with 6 sheets for 2 dollars. Switched that out with my tin foil that I was using, and noticed a HUGE difference immediatly. It was all of a sudden daylight in my grow space ^_^ peace
