Aerogarden/DWC Blue Mystic/Sour D grow

Hello ladies and gents! As the title implies, I am growing both Blue Mystic and Sour Diesel in my first Hydro grow! Here is the basic setup!

VEGGING -

Aerogarden classic, 2 65watt cfls and 2 26watters, one of each spectrum. I currently have four seedlings, 3 blue mystic, and one Sour diesel. The lights are on 24/0, and I have added an air stone to the AG res, and shut off the drip system when the roots hit water. Plants are currently 12 days from first germination.

I plan to Veg these plants 3-4 weeks, and then take cuttings to sex and determine mother plant hopefuls. If all goes well, I plan to have a perpetual harvest, keeping 2 plants in veg long enough to get a solid set of clones, and then continue to take cutting from the maturing plants before they get flowered.

FLOWERING -

I have constructed a 6 site DWC Rubbermaid Tote, Which will serve as the flowering bucket. I also constructed a enclosed grow "tent" out of PVC and Poster board.

I have been milling around ideas about how to train these plants, as I have only about 2.5 to 3 feet of growing space to work with. Because of that, I'm not sure if I will keep the Sour D plant or not. Blue Mystic is a fast finisher at 8 weeks, and keeps a low profile, along with a very neutral smell (In comparison to other strains)

For the first few cycles, I may simply top my plants, and then add a screen if it becomes necessary. Any ideas would be welcome, of course.

Another thing that is up in the air, is how I plan to ventilate the flowering room. I plan on buying a 150 watt HPS from HTC supply, and I noticed that there is a vent opening in the top of the light where you can exhaust. I think I will just drill a hole in the poster board at the top of the tent and fit a 4 inch fan.

I was speaking with my guy at the hydro store, and he was saying that it was more important to have a positive pressure in the room than a negative one, so I will also need to find a way to have a larger intake than exhaust. Again, ideas are welcome.

For nutrients, I am using Botanicare Pure Blend.

Here are some pictures of the plants from yesterday. I just noticed early yesterday morning that there was some slight leaf curling, and browning across all 4 plants... Since the plants were not in any nutrients, I went ahead and did an air bath, flushed the res and added a seedlings pack of nutrients. I will try to stay active and ontop of the nutrients, because I need these plants to thrive and produce some quality cuttings!

wow.. i really like your little set-up.. its looking really good man!! keep up the good work.. and i cant wait to see how thet come out.. Blue Mystic is one of my favorite.. even tho ive never smokes it or grew it.. lol. it just lok really good. and i plan on ordering some blue mystic seeds from nirvana in a month or two.. deff keep us posted on how the grow goes!! ill be checkin in all the time man.. subscribed

also.. not gonna lie.. i probably wont be able to help you out much since this is a "hydro" grow.. and i have noooooo idea how to do that. lol.. but it should be interesting to watch.. because i kinda want to try a hydro grow soon.. one more thing.. did you order those seeds from nirvana?? or did u get them from a friend??

Hey bud! Thanks for stopping by! I got the Mystic seeds from Nirvana, and the Sour D was from a friends summer crop!

I am having some pretty severe discoloration across all the plants, but my PH is between 6-6.5, so it is in a decent range. It looks to me like classic nutrient burn, but there is no way - The amount I used was negligible, you couldn't even notice it once it was mixed in. I read that the aerogardens are notorious for this early burning, so I will continue with what I am doing, and just try to keep up with the plants the best that I can. Any advice is welcome!

I'll get some pictures up in a little bit.

Here are some pictures from this morning. The new growth seems to be ok, hopefully by the end of the day there will be enough to determine if what I have done is sufficient or not.

I went out and bought the GH PH test kit, and my PH is right where it should be! This has me stumped as to what could be causing the discoloration of the plants? They are still growing alright, but I would like to stop the problem before it gets too bad. Pictures from tonight as soon as I take a few vape pulls and find the camera.

it looks like nutrient burn or some sort of defeciency change your nutrient solution and feed very lil strength from those pics you would want to give very lil veg food what ever they say on the bottle give it half at first only give it a and b then after you correct your problem then start adding other nuits

Thanks for the input, but unfortunately I am only using a one part nutrient solution! Not to mention, I have currently only given the plants a half-dose of the recommended seedling dosage!

When I was reading a post from Roseman, he mentioned that nute burned leaves curl down, whereas my leaves have been curling up. Since the air around the plants is not hot to the touch, I am assuming that I am not having any heat issues, so I am stumped. I flushed the other day, and made sure my PH was solid, which I tested again today with the same result. I am hoping that they will correct themselves and grow out of whatever it is that bothers them.
