Is it safe to post pics

good question i was wondering the same thing.

Take it from some one with a felony drug record for manafacturing. It is not safe to post photos. Though I have never heard of a person being invetigated for posting photos I know people other than just me that had photos for online sites used against them in court. It is called supplemental evidence. It can not be used to establih due cause to get a seearch warrant or a conviction on its own but it can be used to support other evidence.

The people running seed selling sites only wish to sell seeds not fight with law enforcement. My photos were on the ** site. Seed sellers that fight with law enforcement agencies such as Marc Emery even get extradicted from other countries. I very much doubt the seeds growers or administrators of this site of seed selling pot forum sites have any intention of spending tme in a U.S. Federal prison to protect a photo poster.

Fourty seven photos were presented in court when I sttod trial. The judge and jurors stated the photos were as much as a public confession of guilt as any spoken confession. On appeal the photos were thrown out as illegally obtained but the conviction was upheld. As the photos were on public display they were considered not prejudicial enough to over turn the conviction. even though the site gave them copies of the photos and my IP address without having been served with a search warrant or subpoena.

ill site administrators paid by seed sellers give out an IP to so that their seed sellers continue advertising seeds for sell on that site. The site that gave the police my IP address and the photos is a larger site than this one. They have before and they will likely do it again, and again so as to be able to continue to sell seeds.

Mant y people say Oh bull shit it is safe. However, I do not see those people as being so assured that they will post their real names or email adreeses with those photos. there are many high school havcker s that can get any IP darress of anyone on a site such as this. Poice have computer hackers that work for them as well. They just figure if the sites give then m the photios and IP address the person at trila will give up and accept a plea bargain rather than going to trial. Over 95% of drug crime convictions are settled by plea bargains.

If you're a legal medical patient I think you're pretty safe. DEA doesn't waste their time on 10 medicinal plants.

Unless you're growing in a medical marijuana State with current medical credentials, I wouldn't post any photos.

Also as long as your photos don't show anything identifiable as evidence such as your address.

basically just be smart about your pics. Look them over before you post make sure there is nothing that could be connected to you.

Other wise just claim the picture was off of the internet that you downloaded, and as everyone knows there are hundreds of thousands of pictures on the net containing peoples pot pics. It holds up in court, I checked . So nice when you have a family lawyer.

Don't leave your pics on your camera, cause that counts as evidence against you. When your done posting. Get them off of your camera!

Too add, get a secure delete program for your comp. Pics stored on a HD are not really deleted. Flash memory is safe from this to my knowledge.

This is true. If they feel like the case is strong enough, and believe that your computer has more than meets the eye, they will have a forensics team taking that drive apart piece by piece even if its not still in one piece lol.

So they say, but it is still happening. The excuse they use now is they were investigating another crime not the pot growing/possession. In the sate I live in it has been detern mined that stae residents have a constitutional right to psoosses and grow set amounts of pot. But the stae has adopted ferderal slaws so the state law books sya they can not spend funds and resourses invetigating that possesion, growing or use. But if they come cao ross the pot growing or possession when investgating another crime then they can cahrge you with the crime. If they find even a medical user with pot or growing pot while investigating another crime then it is not considered wasting police resources. In states where their are medical marijuana laws they police have been doing that since the laws were passed. Federal law enforcement have only been told they are not to waste their resources investigating medical marijuana users. However investigating you for another crime can be done and the pot crimes is just added as a freebie by them. If they want to bust you they will play what ever tricks they want. In many states police show up to ivestigate a complaint of loud noises or domestic, viloence or child endangerment or what ever they choose. If it gets them in the door you been got.

Consider this: A peresident is part of the executive barnch of the government. A president v can't write a law, only congress can wt rite laws. The president can veto it but the congress v acn revote and send it back. If the resident agian sends it back the congress need only vote on it and if the get a majority vote they can over ride the presidents veto. The president does not have the leagal authority to tell the police not to up hold the laws written by congress. He is an exucutive and that is not one of hos powers. Period. So the presidents does not say do not uphold the law but he instead says do not use federal funds to invetsiagte crimes that they sates are allowing to be broken under state regulations. He has not said not to prosecute law breakers that are caught during other investigations. The president syayss he is not willing to waste his time or political clout trying to get new federal drug laws passed or even considered concerning medical marijuana use. He says flatly he will not support the right for the growing of marijuana by individuals even for medical use by themselves or for others. He says he would support new federals laws allowing marijuana to be prescribed and dispensed by pharmacies like other controlled drugs. That essentially means like cocaine legally imported from other countries for medical usage. marijuana will likely under federal laws be either imported or grown under federal contracts not by individuals.
