Im about to start my first grow this week. Ebb n Flow. My questions are about adding nutrients to the res.

1.) Im assuming you follow the schedule that comes with what ever nutes i buy, but how often do you add more nutes? How can you tell? PPM meter?

2.) How often do you clean out the rez and add a new solution? and when you do at what strength do you add the nutes?

Yea, im askin about the same questions in other posts lol.

Like what is a good temp for the res to be at?

Comon practice is to drain the res ever 7-10 days. Fill with pure water between changes.

Start at a low ppm and work up. Watch you plants and adjust. Each strain is alittle different.

The bigger the plant/root system the higher the PPM they can handle.

Try to keey your res as close to 68 as you can.

You will not see a drop in ppm as the plants use them up. Well, not much of a drop. It is not like you will notice it 900ppm one day and 750 the next.

If you change the res ou at 7-10 days you should not run into an imbalance of nutes.

Agree with above. I change water weekly and follow the nute companys schedule. But don't use what might be on the label, go to their website and find their feeding charts. I add just plain water midweek and am beginning to have little use for the ppm meter.
