Unhappy Ebb and flow problem
Hi everyone.
This is my first grow and i decided to go with an ebb and flow system. Everything was going fine until i hooked up all the water works and ran the pump. The pots fill in no time at all but the pot on the left seems to fill up faster than the right then tries to overflow. The overflow is at the correct height im sure but is it big enough? could it be the sequence of the pipes from the pump stuffing with the pressure in the different pipes? please check the photos and see if you can spot my problem. Thanks.

P.S. Loving what i have learned from this site.

looks like like it should flow into the buckets evenly, but this system does not look like a proper ebb and flow, you dont have the flow, a drain, do you?

Please explain the water flow route..

Looking at the picture of the pipe work it flows from the pump from right to left with the overflow the middle pipe which then drains out the pipe closest to view.
Thanks.

Oh now I understand it, first of all to fill both buckets evenly the water source had to be equal traveling distance to each bucket, does that make sense? But more Importantly is that this system will not work because, in Ebb & Flow your inlet hole should be smaller then your Overflow, so a overflow will never happen, I have always used a 1/2" inlet and a 3/4" Overflow. Now in your case you have 2 inlets of what look like 1/2 which make ur total inlet volume 1 in and your outlet is 1/2 so another words theres no way to not overflow this sorry, I would recomend maybe changing the overflow elbow to a t point for 3/4 pipes and do one out each side so you get a total of 1 1/2" outflow. Im not 100% on this fixing your problem just a theory

Yeah theres 2 half inch going in and a single overflow which is 3/4 plus it feeds from the far right going past the overflow to the left pot. Thanks for your help.
