i have a nft system i would like to use but i have no clue and would like some help, i have searched about and cant find instructions, i do soil and dwc but would like to try nft, i have a nft tank and tray and 2 pumps, what else do i need and how to i set it up? can i do sog in it? any help is much appreciated

if you are still out there i hate to say it but i am guessing only 5% of growers use some sort of nft most of them use a low pressure aeroponic system which is just a slightly higher efficiency nft system. but from what i have read you will want your nft on a slight slope with the pumps running full blast the more movement the better. and the preferred method is definitely sog.

DIY NFT/Aeroponics system

The key is a recycle timer to set your pumps to come on 1 min on , 5 min off, or around there.

yeah I have poked around there they are not super helpful, cycle timers are great for aero but, from what I have read when it comes to nft just keep the res oxygenated and the film level thin and your should be fine. Some places say you want flow rates between 1 to 2 liters per min(15-30 GPH) others have recommended using a 1000 gph pump... so I dont think the technique is used enough or has had enough research done on it to say what the optimum is.
