First things first the reason for using aeroponics. Now I am not claiming this is the "best" way to grow to each their own but consider for just a minute you are a plant and your roots are equivalent to your lungs and mouth. Put you're head under some dirt...in a bucket of water (don't forget you're air stones!) have I made my point yet, roots need air nutes and water.

Main considerations in building your grow room:

1) Maintenance: Is your water res. separate from your root res. ( Trust me in this cleaning is a PAIN especially when your plants are 3ft+ tall)

2) Are you running at the right temperature? If not window A.C units are awesome plenty of oxygen coming in + you get to maintain temp. Veg I keep it around 80-85 f Flower I keep it around 72-78 f

3) CO2 levels (Flowering) This will increase you're yields exponentially around 2000ppm is what i like to stay at.

4) Lighting (duh)

5) Nutrients: Everyone has their preference My personal favorite has been General Hydroponics line 3 part N.P.K/ Kool Bloom 0-10-10 for the first 6 weeks / MycoMadness benefitial bacteria ( this stuff is gods vagina for you're roots!) & of course P.h down I chose not to use the ph up because I am constantly in the room adding water flushing roots etc. etc.



Now lets get started on ph and e.c

you're E.C should range between 1.7-1.9

Week 0-1: Superthrive only
Week 1-2: 6.0 ph half str nutes add bacteria
Week 2-5: 5.8 add bacteria, 5.6, 5.5
Week 5-8: 5.5 flush before flower

Flowering

Week 1-2: 5.7 ph + Kool Bloom
Week 2-4: 5.9 ph + Kool Bloom
Week 4-6: 6.3 ph + Kool Bloom (heavy -.P.K)
Flush the rest for about a week to two weeks for flavor.



Now for light cycles I have done the whole 18-6 to 12-12 and love it!

I have tried and not conducted in a scientific manner the 24 hr light I did not like it my plants were screaming at me for rest it seemed... some will argue.

Now as for cutting down or up lighting durring the flowering cycle i tried it once and did get some pretty excellent shit out of bag seed by cutting my light from 12-12 in the first 3 weeks down to 10-14 for the next 3 then 8-16 for the last few and it might have just been a good strain I wish i had grown two crops so i could say one is better than the other... BUT what i have noticed is it takes ALOT longer to flower when you are cutting the light but supposedly it gives the plant more time to resonate and produce those yummy lil trichs.
( 18-6 veg 12-12 flower) If anyone has input on this let me know I love information


Now I have always been a believer in strait shooters but if you are only working with a few plants Fimming might be for you. Look up pics for techniques this is a hard skill to explain but like everything else with practice makes perfect. And it is VERY worth it if you are only growing a few plants you turn your 1 cola into 4-8 colas and the quality doesn't change noticeably.

More maintenance!!!: Fanning your leaves

Trust me unless you want lil shrimp buds on the bottoms fan you're canopies or get some good lighting at all angles... or have crappy buds at the bottom. Rotating resivoir w/e.

I will be starting a log on this thread as of December with plenty of pics from start to finish to make some believers.
