Does anyone use the powder form of Dr Hornby's Big Bud? If so does this stuff make your Rez solution stink? I mean really stink? I just started using it about 4 days ago. I made up my regular batch of Solution, and added the Big Bud, the next day my Soup STUNK. So I let it go another day. Still was stinking really bad, So I dumped it out, washed everything real good, and started over. Well The Soup Stinks like road kill again. Is this normal? I have heard of some Nut's stinking a lot.

Any Info would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I"d say that you have some kind of critters growing up and setting up housekeeping in your soup, and then they use up all of the oxygen and start dying off and their tiny little carcasses really smell like dead bodies, and when there's thousands of them, even though they're little, the odor can curl your nose hairs.

The trick is to aerate the soup better, and make sure that the temp of the solution stays below 75 F.

I beleive you should keep your soup no higher than 70 or pythem will start plus theres more oxgyen for your roots 65 to 68 is perfect

My freind uses dr hornbys big bud and swears by it theres no smell also so you defintly got something going on if you have smelly water mabey you need to add some peroxide

Ok,, Well I called Advanced Nutrients customer support. And here is what they said....

" YES!!! Once Powdered Big Bud is added to water, IT WILL SMELL!!!!!!!!" and that if it does not, you most likely did something wrong"

It is not like you walk into room and wondered who died. You have to put your nose down over the soup and sniff.

First off you are giving an oppinion on something you have never used. So your oppinion is useless. Second of all, it does really stink like death. But not in the room itself. just if you take a wiff of it.

Big bud is the shit!

Yes, I have heard nothing but great things about Dr. Hornby's Big Bud, as a Bud Enhancer. The smell kind of surprised me though, but so far the plants seem to be loving it. Time will tell. The smell is not noticeable, unless you put you nose down over the SOUP and take a wiff. The smell is not a good one though. But hey, Cow Shit does not please me either with it's smell either....lol

really? ive used it and didnt notice much a differece, ive also used blossom blood and i think i waisted my money. a good 3 part should do the trick, and i didnt notice the big bud smell, but i always add pure blend and that shit stinks real bad.


how much of a diffence have you noticed? i might pick it up again?
