Default 1 flood per hour during 12/12???

hi im hearing alot of ppl lately talking about flooding and how many times to flood . currently im in week 4 of 12/12 and i am flooding 5 times per 12hrs on , i wanna kno if i should up the flooding . some say 6 floods per 12/12 and even 12 floods per 12/12 any thoughts>?

yeah, also i never grew flood tables but imo the roots should love the air they get between floods.

I always go 3 floods for 15 minutes each during lights on only.

im doing about 7 floods of 30 minutes each in 12 hours.. but im 4 weeks into flowering

i forgot to state im growing in hydroton , thanks for the replies . im now flooding 6 times per 12

Your flooding to much, in hydroton you only need to flood 3-4 a day(24hrs). 3 with the lights on and 1 with them off. You definitely dont want to flood more. I dont know where you have been seeing people flood that much but its wrong.

if you have algae growth on the tops of the rocks and at the base of the plant, you need to flood less.
i like 4 times a day for 15 min, and 6-8 at the end

well im hearing mixed opinions now . 3 floods when lights on and 1 while lights off ? today is the first time ive herd to flood during lights off . i always thought it was a no no
