    Default Northern Lights--- HELP!!!

Has anyone out there every grown Northern lights? I have this plants, that is about 4 weeks into flowering stage right now. I have a 400 watt HPS light with (6) 43 watt cfls for side light. I am useing Botanicares Power flower, with Sweet, cal mag, Liquid Karma, and pot of gold. This plant is about 4' tall, and 3' in dia. It is full and bushy, very Healthy looking. When lights are out, you can not see your hand in front of your face it is so dark.

Here is my problem. The Buds are just starting to show. There was hairs showing for a long time, but now they are just starting to form in to buds. Is this a normal time frame for NL? This is my first grow with this strain.

Sorry no pictures, my camera is broke.

I am thinking that northern lights is a slow flower strain, or I just got a slow flower plant. The plant looks great.

Oh,, my PPM on the Power Flower nuts was at about 900, before I added anything else to the soup. When I finished adding everything, I am at about 1,350 PPM. No nut burn no curling. This plant is the picture of a healthy looking plant. You can hardly see light through it, it is so bushy.

    Any ideas??

P.S. I did take one clone from this plant from one of the lower branches when it was 1 week into flower stage.

When did you switch to 12/12 how old and tall was the plants, how many set of leaves did it have.

Northern lights is usually a quick flowering strain but if you switch to 12/12 too early then you are going to have to wait a couple of weeks still for it to show sex.

These days I wouldn't count the start of flowering from when you switch to 12/12, it would be from when they were showing sex in 12/12.

Make sense Greenthumb, and fits also. I flowered this plant at about 20 days old from day the seeds cracked. At 20 days it was so tall, and I wanted to try and keep it short, that I flowered earlier then I always do.

I was already figuring that I had 6 weeks to harvest from the looks of the plants, and they showed sex about 2-3 weeks ago. So that fits.

Thanks Greenthumb.. Good in-site I think.

I got my NL seeds from Cannabis Seeds (Marijuana Seeds) Supplier - Top quality Dutch Seeds they started flowering pretty slow and in the last two weeks (I harvested at 8 weeks) they really swelled up, the trichome production finishes early though, but they will continue to get more cloudy and amber near the end.

    Question Sam Help??

Hey nice pics Sam. Would like to know how large an area you are growing those in the pics in?? What lights? what nutes and the nute schedule. I have a 60 sites tube hydro sys so it is not the same but I am considering going with soil for my NL;s. What do you think? MY only issue is I have to work from 10 seeds and trying to get 60 plants all the same height for flower is a problem I am still trying to solve. Any advice on that issue?? Have about 50 sites in my cloner but getting the clones is a waiting game really I am thinking. Thanks and keep up the good work....
