After 10 days they should have roots. Maybe its different for everyone though. But my clones usually take 4 or 5 days to root.

i received some unrooted clones from a med user friend who moved out of town by mail. they arrived on a hot day so i was not hopeful i put them in rockwool after getting moisture levels adjusted. i then covered them with baggies and placed on a heat mat for 10 days nothing but some stem rot one had a root growing freely in air above the rockwool lol. so i removed them from the rockwool and put them in a mostly perlite vermiculite mix with a bit of soil 2 appear to have begun to root. i really think rockwool is not the way to go it seems a perlite vermiculite mix creates the perfect enviroment with enough moisture but not too much nothing kills clones faster than a medium thats too wet. it seems a moist but not wet medium and good moisture for the foliage to not dry out is the key. normally i would have tossed the cuts after the rockwool but they are special larry og kush 3* back cross males there not out of the woods yet but in my experience once rots start the plant recovers.

[quote=SoCoMMJ;2695519]I haven't seen 18 gallon Rubbermaid sized humidity domes anywhere.
Get yourself one of the large ice cream cakes from Walmart, DQ, etc. and use the top for your humidity dome. You can actually use the whole thing as a propagation station if you use rockwool, Rapid Rooters, Jiffy peat expandable pellets, etc. Just follow your normal clone cutting & prep and put them under the dome on the bottom waterproof tray with a raised lip no less. Spray them a couple of times a day to keep the humidity higher. And btw... Enjoy the ice cream cake.

I just wanted to thank everyone for their supportive words throughout my clone woes.
The reason why my 40+ cuttings were taking so long to root was due to the fact that my 2 mothers that provided me were on the verge of flowering. I don't understand why. I kept them at 18/6 the whole time but, for some reason, they were prompted to flower. Is this right? Can vegging plants experience stress and begin flowering? I thought I may have read that before? Anyway, you can see from the first few pictures that the clones began flowering and producing trichomes. It wasn't as apparent when I cut them but, days after, they really tried flowering. I ended up with 20 or so and they're in full veg mode now. I discarded the others simply because they hadn't rooted yet and began to completely dry out! The last few pictures show some of my older foliage. What's the story here?? Is it nute burn, deficiency, or ph fluctuation?? Thanks again everyone ![]() ![]()
