Default ebb and flow trays
I need some help finding some trays for an ebb and flow system. There is the cheap wallmart shit but I had one b4 and it cracked so thats out of the question. I would rather pay some extra bucks and get something good than shitty. Anyway im working with a 4ft long 2 ft deep cloest anyone have any good sites to get trays from that arent like 150$ for a tray cuz damn thats crazy. Also would like a tray with the holes already in them or the fill and drain kit already installed. +rep for help

this is a uk site that i just used for some crates. you will have to drill the holes yourself but its real easy, even if you just buy a hand drill and hole cutters. flood and drain fittings are easily googled for a place near you. the only other stuff to get is an air pump and a water pump with some tubing. all the best.

edit: check last post in my DWC journal for some pics.

edit 2: forgot link sorry http://www.solentplastics.co.uk/stac...tainers-boxes/

BGhydro.com has many sizesm especially in the 2ft variety, if space is that tight you can use rockwool slab trays that run 6-10inches wide and are a few feet long

hey man. I have been looking into doing EBB and Flow when i move into my new place.. i have been googling and reading up lots and was looking for ideas for trays as well... mortar mixing pans are good, but i found something that i think i might try to find here locally.. they're these utility sleds, or sometimes called ice fishing sleds or even deer sleds. basically they're used to pull all your stuff or your dead game if you're hunting. they're made out of plastic and since they're for pulling they're very durable as well. the thing that really gets me is that they are sleds so the bottoms of them have runners, basically giving you assistance in drainage for the bottom of your tray. heres some linkage to something like what i'm talking about. i'm sure you can find them at your local bass pro or outdoors store

if you wanna go cheaper you can build one from wood and a pond liner, but spend the $150 if you can and get the proper fittings and bulkheads, the botanicare trays are heavy duty BGhydro.com

The op said that he DOES NOT want a wal mart tray. The first sentence in the link you posted talks about how you got the supplies from wal-mart. Did you even read the thread or did you just want some views on your thread?

Anyway, I would also suggest ordering from bghydro. They have a lot of different sizes and they all seem heavy duty

I use and recommend BOTANICARE trays... 2x4 usually sell for $65

For the last res you will ever buy, I recommend rubbermaid stock tanks, found at your local feed store...

or the BOTANICARE res works too...
