Default Seedling Problem
I am sure someone has seen this before, but I am a noob, so I hope someone has a few words of wisdom.

I germinated some seeds and I don't know why, but the tips of the leaves are burned. Bulb Burn? Not enough water? pH issues?

I have been watering with pH 5.5-5.8 keeping the cube moist (about 30g) and under a lamp..see below

Are you giving them nutes? If so, how much? Whats your lighting? How close is it to the plants? How hot is your heat pad getting? You might need a layer or two inbetween the rockwool and heat pad..

Yeah, I would say the plants are too hot. You can tell it is heat stress by the crispy leaf tips. Turn the heat pad down, or put a towl between your plants and that pad.

Other wise all those seedlings are going to do is cook.

No nutes. Lighting is a cheapo 250 w gro light I got at home depot. I have a 2x4 t-5 4 bulb w/ 6500k bulbs, but it seemed like a waste to run for just seedlings. Think I should run it? I shut off the heat pad earlier as I was noticing the cubes were a bit hot the past few days. Glad to read your comments as it helps confirm my suspicions.

You dont need that much lighting this early. All your gonna do is light your room and add a few bucks to the bill. I use one 30 watt cfl for each plant for the first 3 weeks or so or until the plant is atleast 5 or 6 inches tall.

OK thanks YM, I shut off the heat matt friday and noticed some profuse root growth over Sat/Sun. This AM the bottoms of the cubes felt a bit cool, so I added back the heat matt and put a towel and plastic plate down to give a littl warmth. I will check later to see how they are doing.
