| | How to support 4' trees in a DWC... | | How can you support plants in a bubbleponics system. 3" net pots in the lid of an 18gal rubbermaid. Plants 3-4' tall cause the, use to be snug, net pots to floppy around like a fish out of water. Plants could be tied from the walls or ceilings for support or a stick could be ran through the holes in the net pots to the bottom of the bucket and the plants supported that way, but much rather prefer to support the pots from moving. How can this be accomplished. HELP... |

| | Hey Bro - Hate to throw out the most obvious, and somewhat stupid answer - not to mention, one you've probably already considered - but, I used white duct tape to secure one of my large plants. She just refused to stop stretching, no matter how much light I put on her; once she got to be almost 2x as tall as the other 5, I started tying her to the walls in an LST type thing. No where NEAR 4 FEET!! But, it worked... tying her pulled the net cup out at an angle, so, yeah: I ghetto rigged it. White duct tape - seems to be relatively water resistant, and held the net pot in place nicely until she adjusted to the new angle. No more shading my other plants, and she's bushed out nicely at the bend points. Anyway, I'm sure you were looking for a more eloquent suggestion, but at least in the meantime..... Good luck man, good growin. Peace |

| | to keep you netpots from moving, simply drill three holes around the netpot, and tie them into place with bread ties (you know, those plastic coated wire twist ties?)
your net pot will never ever move.

| | The Kind Princess displays intelligence with breathtaking clarity.... Oh, the horror of shame...... I'm gonna go get drunk and tie my typing hands with white duct tape. ><>>>>><>>> KP, how do you block the light entering your res through those 3 purposeful holes? A sticky paper of some sort, perhaps....? |

| | I just recently harvested a STRETCHED Indica that got to 4 and a half ft tall, and it was in a 3 inch cup, in a 8 gallon tank. The trunk or base of the plant was much bigger than the rockwool cube it started in. It leaned a little, but the mass of roots somehow supported it up right. The last week, I did tie a string around it and tacked it to the wall.
