Alright so I finally built up enough energy to commit to a hydro grow. I have to admitt for someone who hasnt tried it its quite intiminating.lol But i understand most of the basics of it. I have had previous grows and right now i am in the middle of a soil grow but the next batch of clones will be going into the hydro system.

so lets start things off.

I am going to create a flood and drain system.
and im ordering pretty much everything tonight.

I was wondering if anybody with some experience can lend a helping hand on some important things to know when it comes to hydro.

You're opinions on water schedules and limits.
Types of systems you prefer,
better ways to make a system
reseviour flushes
nute measuments
blah blah

any help is appreciated as always

OK so im new to hydro.

Im using the basic fox farm nutes

I have Big bloom and tiger bloom.
ill probably order grow big too but the plants im growing are only going to Veg for about two weeks and then straight to flower to keep em short. So do i even need the grow big nutes?

Also can my plants survive on just The tiger bloom and big bloom
or do i need any other kind of nutes besides the basics?

Please reply need info ASAP

Also, one of my packages came in the mail today so the other should be coming any day now and once it does ill be able to begin my next set of clones which will be put in the flood and drain system.

your nutrients are high quality and will provide everything you need. go for it. if you fail the info gained will even be worth it. but try not to. lol
To keep them small you might need to flower after 1 week depending on how fast they grow and how small you want them. some plants in 2 weeks of veg can get pretty big but you seem like you know about that kinda thing. good luck man

ya thats just a estimate im pretty much going by a visual you know what i mean? once i feel theyre ready for flowering im putting them in, because i want a lot of small plants rather than a couple big ones. im just getting the basic grow big tiger bloom and big bloom then, maybe after time ill try and get the open sesame and shit but ill see how those go first.

Ok this is weird. all my plants have shit loads of white hairs forming on them and the tops look like colas beginning to form. This is weird because theyre still in 18 hours of veg. I dont get it... the mom plant i have is ESPECIALLY like this. Im beginning to think i wont be able to clone it anymore. Ill post pics when i can but im not sure the quality will be so good

put it under 24 hour light. it might be a strain that is slowly able to flower under 18/6. just put it under 24 hour and if it doesn't stop than i wouldn't waist time with that strain unless you know what it is, lookit up and find out why. i would just switch strains if it continues like this under 24 hour lighting. try that

yeah thats a good idea. Lots of strains these days can go straight to flower. Kinda sucks because this bud WAS SOME ONE HIT QUIT shit. im going to try putting it on a 20/4 hour schedule because i don't want to have them on all day. i dont pay the bill lol. Im putting some pictures as we speak.

#6 is tiny and i'll probably throw it out. its producing new leaves but incredibly slow, i think its because when i had the gnat problem it suffered from them feeding on the roots :[
