Vinegar to lower PH - anyone try it?

i am in a bind, i ran out of ph down and i need to get my PH down, i know people here and there use it, i took a small sample of water and added Heinz white distilled vinegar, my question is it stable? will it do damage when in continuous use? and do i have the right kind? my test results were very good, better than GH PH down, but if i lower my ph will it go back up fast?

i use it. it works. but i have all day to whatch my system. its certainly not as stable as ph down, i find my ph changes over a couple days in my 20 l res

yea it can stay in range for a few days? thats what i needed to know, i didnt want to start using it and find out i need to PH my rez every few hours, my PH starts out at 5.5-5.8 and within 3 days if im not ontop of it goes to 7.0

Vinegar has that same effect. Lots of bounce back when I used it. PH down is the way to go. Used it when I ran out of PH down. Is you water high PPM? Does your res have a lot of gunk in the bottom when you change water. Are you changing water every 7-10 days? Those can all be reason for the fluctuating PH. It's hard on the plants too. That doesn't happen in nature.

i change rez no more than 10 days, my rez is super clean, but this is my 3rd week and after my first rez change salt was everywhere, and this is GH's flora 3pt, i used dynagro for the veg and i didnt have this issue, salt and major PH flux, tap water is 30ppm straight, nute strength is 700ppm, and yea im starting to see a lil difference in my girls, they are exploding but slight discoloration on the very few leaves, i know its definitly the PH and if you were to look at them you would see very happy plants, so i am taking all the measures, i would love to know if anyone else out here has these issues with GH nutes, i understand the rising ph but over a day or two is starting to be a pain in the ass

if you're allready buying good hydro nutes, u should invest in some ph down. it will be much more stable in the long run and isn't expensive.

im not cheap i have everything, just ran out and im too lazy to take a trip to the local shop to get more just needed a fix for a few days
