Default Aeroponics: White russian x MK Ultra
Hello all,
I'm an old fashioned grower (dirt bagger), however I believe that you're never too old to learn.
So here is my situation: I've just built an aeroponic system with eight 6" net
pots.
40 gal. rubbermaid tub w/lid.
195 gph pump
9 emitters
All eight girls are clones of my white russian x MK ultra mother (a fine lady)
I purchased the BC kit. bloom,grow,boost,thrive...
Any & all advice welcome.

Thanks, Danny

Thanks for stopping in nongreen, My girls seem to be settling in nicely,
Did a bit of poking around the baskets and it seems that the roots are
developing surprisingly fast.
side note: I like how clean the garden is (all in a nice blue tub.)

Wow, those net pots are really 6 inches? Do you mean 6 inches across? If so, that's huge for a typical aero system. Those will hold a lot of rocks.

I used some 6 inch pots when I did a scrog grow in ebb&flow, but that was because of the extra long veg time.

Hey PR, thanks for stopping in.
Yes 6' The man at the hydro store recommended this size.
I have zero experience in this aspect of growing (first wet grow)
If there is a size that would be more appropriate, I will give it a try.
after all these aeroponics tubs are easy to make, and I figured there would be a period of trial & error. (hopefully a short one)
Which is why I seek the help/advice of Those who have experience.
any and all input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Danny

I have been sneaking around the woods and Hauling dirt in and out of my home since... well for too long.
I don't know if aeroponics is the answer, but my research seems to point me
here.
So far so good.

I'm glad that you've got the attitude of trial and error, because you will make changes regularly as you go along. As you read more of what others have done with aero systems, you'll improve. Have fun.

Here's a little tip for you newbies (like myself)
I noticed that My sprayers were sputtering and fussing.
So I take a look in the tub and Yes you guessed it.
I had not properly rinsed my Hydroton clay pebbles.
They make a great medium it seems, but only if you
thoroughly rinse them. other wise sand like debris will clog your shit.

best way to rinse em is in the nets pots.

when i fill my dwc, i get the big bag of hydrton and fill all the pots im going to need.

then strain after i put the net pot directly under a tap in the bath, and i put the tap on full blast. I keep it going for about a minute, shaking the pot around a bit to make sure nothing gets left in.

Well said nongreen, that is what I will do next time.
I think I'll have to replace one of the sprayer tips, it's
(clayclogged)
other than that all is back on track.
thanks for the tips.

Danny
