Default Can someone please help me to diagnose?
The center of the new leaves dont look good - yellow and kind of wrinkled looking. I'm seeing some of the tips looking like they are curling/dying too.

This just happened in the 3-4 days after I transplanted these from the bubbler (where they were started from seed, it's white widow from weedfarmer) into a drip system which I threw together myself. They are in 5" net pots with hydroton. They are still growing fast but the new leaves dont look right.

I'm feeding FoxFarm Grow Big Hydroponic and Sweet and have been careful not to burn them (I thought), my crappy EC meter shows about 650-700 ppm. I started them on a relly light nutrient solution of the same when they were pretty little - about 2 weeks old but kept the ppm at 300-400 until they outgrew the little bubbler/2" net pot setup. It was only after I transplanted them, about 5 days ago, that I upped the solution to 700 ppm.

pH was fluctuating pretty badly in the first few days in the new setup - between 5.8 and 7 but has now leveled off at about 6.5.

The roots look great, big and healthy, growing really fast. I think it's time to prune but I dont want to do that until I get this solved.

Also, they dont all seem to have the issue - some really look fine while others seem to be sick.

They are under a new wave T-5 48 (8 - 4' 54watt cfls)

I have looked at the troubleshooting guides in both my grow bible and on this site and on cannabis.com and the only thing I see that describes this problem is a 'S' deficiency so I bought some epsom salts but havent tried to add them yet.

The more I read, though, the more I think I may have burned them. I'm just not sure, so here are some pics... Any advise from experienced growers would be much appreciated.

The plants DO look good. I do see the yellowing you're talking about though. Maybe the switch to the new tank caused some shock. But they seem ok.

And an HPS will do you justice!

Now that the 'sun has come up' and the light is better, here are some better pics. I dont know, I cant find a picture that looks similar to this anywhere on the web associated with any known problem. Anyone?

I'm trying to avoid flushing the whole systems if possible.

I reduced the pH to about 5.5 after reading somewhere that that may help with nutrient lockout issues.

I also added more fresh water to the system, the nutrient concentration is now about 625, down from about 700.

???

The first pic is one of the problem plants, the second pic is one that is NORMAL, for comparison... The third and fourth and of the problem too.

It's not that they are just turning yellow, it's also that the actual texture of the leaf surface is different - like all bumpy and wrinkled. I wish I had a loop or a better f*kc'n camera.

Thanks
AETV

I too have some white widow growing. 5 outdoors and 5 indoors in a drip system, under a 400 watt HPS light. I noticed the mild yellowing looking tops and it radiated out from the center on the lower leaves. Just like in your last pic. I've come to realize it was a normal coloring of the white widow strain. Dont know if this will help, but the girls look fantastic to me. GL with the grow.

Those look good to me too. Thanks Nimbliez for that info about the WW strain coloring like that, I just got my order of WW and am going to be planting them in a Bubble system almost identical to Aetvs' system so I proly would have seen (and freaked out about) the same coloration that he saw.
