Red face Water Quality Report
Ok Rollitup community, once again I could use your knowledge and understanding to continue to fuel my own knowledge bank; here is my cities 2008 water quality report (attached). I have PH test strips at home but no ppm meter, so I was hoping that I could determine that from this report but I'm not sure what to make of some of the information given in it. It doesn't just say, "Your PPM is: " wouldn't that be nice? If anyone can tell me what to gather, or what information is important to be noting about this then I would be extremely appreciative. The water quality fella also told me over the phone that they shot to get the PH of the tap water @ 7.8 (to high for cannabis I know) and that the floride content was .8
He also mentioned that my water was what they call semi-hard water @ 135 ml, and he said that 100ml of that hardness came from calcium. Can anyone make heads or tales of this report? What should I be looking for, or adding up, or taking in account here?
You guys rule, thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

Bottom line is you got a lot of crap in your water, and a ppm meter will show MORE Nutes in the water than you actually have. AND the pH will not be so easy to stabalize.

Is it possible to derive the PPM's from this report? My water can't be that much worse than most everyone else's, can it?
I mean, this is pretty normal stuff to see in your water besides the semi-hardness that we suffer from in FL.
I appreciate your input roseman, but what exactly do you mean by crap? hard water from what i read is 200 ppm's +, before anything is added, if mine is 135ppm (if that's even what it really is) then that's not too bad, right?
I will pick up a PPM meter ASAP, but I just sprung for a 300$ grow light, so I don't need to say that things are tight. (for me anyway)

Like for instance, what do the headings mean?
There's MCLG and MCL, I've never seen these, has anyone else?

Definitions:
Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) - The highest level of a contaminant that is allowed in drinking water. MCLs are set as close to MCLGs as feasible using the best available treatment technology and taking cost into consideration. MCLs are enforceable standards.
Maximum Contaminant Level Goal (MCLG) - The level of a contaminant in drinking water below which there is no known or expected risk to health. MCLGs allow for a margin of safety and are non-enforceable public health goals.
Maximum Residual Disinfectant Level (MRDL) - The highest level of a disinfectant allowed in drinking water. There is convincing evidence that addition of a disinfectant is necessary for control of microbial contaminants.
Maximum Residual Disinfectant Level Goal (MRDLG) - The level of a drinking water disinfectant below which there is no known or expected risk to health. MRDLGs do not reflect the benefits of the use of disinfectants to control microbial contaminants.
Treatment Technique - A required process intended to reduce the level of a contaminant in drinking water.

Well that answers that question, here it is if anyone else didn't know like me and cares to...

I googled "City of BlahBlah" went to the website, found a phone number, got transfered a few times, and requested a quality report, they said for some reason that they couldn't leave it in the mailbox, but that someone would drop one off at the house. When I got home it was wedged in the doorway by the handle... pretty nice if you asked me,... now if I only knew how to read it...

What do you mean over time? What does that matter?
