And that is pretty cool.
I agree it would be better if you could get nozzles to mist.
I think they are probably cheap just do not know where to get them.
right on fam...i got all of the parts at OSH except for the water pump bc they had pumps that were likr 60 bux for a 250gph with a filter...i got the SAME one but from Hydrofarm at a hydro store for 15 bux.
all of the parts are found in the irrigation systems area in the store and the pvc area...good luck!
oh yeah, and it does matter...there are different sytems out there that MIST and some that SPRAY...those are micro jet sprayers
It'll work! He's going to get lots of oxygenation throwing the water around like that- and there's no chance of roots drowning if they're hanging above the waterline.
Seems to me that there should be a way of bringing in fresh O2 to the spray area's air, and an exit path as well.
I'm kinda curious about the benefit of adding a VERY small fan (computer CPU sized, maybe 25mm), pulling fresh air into the spray chamber. Could mount it on the end of a piece of plastic tubing to get it away from the water spray.
Perhaps a common fish tank air pump bringing in fresh air via the usual small tubing would be smart.
The exit path reasonably would be the holes where the plants enter the spray chamber.
