Thumbs up DWC/Bubbler Question
My first run at Hydro using Lucas Furmula.
I built a single bubbler with 2 airstones and a 7" square net cup with drainage on the bottom and sides.

I'd like to know for most strains what ppm I should do from start to finish (seedlings well 3 nodes high to flowering).
I'm running 1/2 strength and I'm at 300 ppm and PH 5.8.

Also how high should the water hit the net cup 1/2 way?

Thanks in advance any advise would be helpful.

LuvChronic!

Thats cool man. I haven't been to lucas nutrients, but they should have a feeding schedule. If you can't find a feeding schedule don't worry. Your doing the right thing by starting off with 1/2 strength nutes. when you look at most nutrients there around 1000 ppm 1200 ppm 1400 ppm. You can allways have a lower ppm or a higher one. you just need to remember to train you plants to be able to take the increased nutrients. slowly increasing week by week. If you give them to much nutrients the leaves will burn, no big deal just dump your nutreint solution out, and put in a weaker mix.
Depending on what medium your using you shouldn't need to put your cup in the water very deep. Plus the 2 air stones throw alot of water up. if you have roots them you don't need to have your net pot in that deep, as long as the roots are wet. the main thing is to have to roots wet...

cool thx I'm using hydroton rocks I was thinking of transplanting from soil to start so bare root in the rocks. Is that ok you think or too much shock? or should I wait take a clone in rockwool let it root and put that in the rocks? that would take me a while as they are babies.

Thanks again.

the clay is good if they have roots.
yah let them grow in the clay and them take some clones
you should be able to take some clones in about 4 weeks or so
this is the hardest part. after you get some clones you'll
have smooth sailing.
