Ok guys after reading a few books and hundreds of threads about Hydroponics i´ve decided to build myself a cheap bubbler system to find out for myself if Hydro is as fast and productive as other growers say...a very good friend threw in some seeds, i had about 150$ to spend and this is what i got:

1 x Closet 170cmH x 70cmW x 40cmD - 10$
2.5m2 of Mylar - 8$
1 x AirPump Dual 200lph + 2x 4" Airstones + hoses - 25$
1 x Hydro Nutrients Pack by Dutch Formula Micro + Grow + Bloom - 22$
1 x ClonexGel - 6$
10 x 1" Rockwool cubes - 1.5$
5 x 4" Rockwool cubes - 2.5$
1 x PhDown - 2.5$
1 x PhTest Kit - 1$
2 x 20Litre Plastic Tub w/Lid - 15$
1 x Plastic Dome - 10$
4 x 1 Metre chain + some hooks to hanf the lights - 2$
1 x 3 Metres Electric cord with 6 sockets and on/off switch - 1.5$
1 x Dc Conversion Unit (i really don´t know how u guys call this in the US, its just an Electric device that has multiple Voltage outputs) it´s where the fans are going to be connected - 1.5$
2 x Pc Fans FREE!!! (from an old pc that was laying around in the garage)
1 x 50 Metres of Silver Dckt Tape Free (if u dont have tape around the house how the hell do u fix stuff??????)


Lights:
- 2 x 4´40w 6400k Fluoro Tubes - 20$
- 2 x 2´fixtures with 2 x 18w 6400k Fluoro Tubes - 20$
- 3 x 42w Cfl´s 2800k - 5$

The Setup:
- 1st
- i devided the closet in two areas
- Germination and Clone Area
- Veg/Flower Area
(the closet came with 5 shelfs and lots of pre-drilled spaces to fit them so diving the closet was pretyy easy)

- 2nd
- Put up the Mylar reflective sheeting using tape from the inside (double sided tape)

- 3rd
- Installed all the lights - each of the 2 x 18w fixtures in a respective Area, the two 4´tubes as side lights so they go all the way from the Veg/Flower Area into the Germination/Clone Area and the three 42w warm whites only in the Veg/Flower Area.

Total Gear Cost = 153.5$

Next to come:
- Assemble the pump with the two air stones inside the plastic tub
- Install the 2 pc fans
and my setup is finished..

(Note: All the Gear was bought in the local hardware store except for the nutes, Clonex and Rockwool cubes (bought at a hydro store) and the AirPump (bought at a local fishstore)

To give u a better idea of how it is goin here are some pic´s hope u enjoy them....i´ll post the second part right after the Bubbler it self is Bubbling

Part 2 - Assembling the Bubbler & Air flow

- I´ve drilled two holes on the side of the tub so i can run the Airpump hoses into the tub connecting them to the Airstones
- The Airpump was hang on top of the Veg/Flower grow area so it can allways be above water level this way to avoid air drawaback
- The Dc power unit was set to 12Volts and connected to the Pc fans on the side of the closet, this will help to keep the temperature around 80º altho heat is not really an issue because the fluros produce almost no heat (a circulating fan will be added on the Veg/Flower area as soon as the plants reach 4 or 5 inches).

sounds good. how many plants you planning on growin?

Well i´m planning on getting 4 plants (clones), keeping the mother and a few Sons on the Top Area and then Flower them in the bottom .... i already have some seeds sprouting in the 1" Rockwool cubes they will be transfered into the 4" ones and as soon as the plants get between 4 - 6 weeks clones will be cut to determine plants sex, after that well we´ll see how the bubbler works ... Sounds to me like u r pretty handy. My room is a little bigger than a closet. Around 5m2. The setup i bought was made in the UK, and it is a nice set-up. The store I bought it from had bought a load of them and couldn't sell them for what they should be ( About $400. US) so I got it for $250. That included the resevoir, pump and filters, emitters, piping, Coco coir, Grow and Bloom and 20 Pots. The frame set up took a couple of hours and includes a rack to hang a light. The only thing I would change is to put it on wheels so you can move it to work on plants. Oh yeah a drainage system to return the water to the resevoir was also included.
The only things I had to buy seperate was an airerator and the light. It is 1m2 and should support the 20 plants to about 1m.

Nice setup !!! Are you one engineer?? Can you build one like this for me?

Tks for all your inputs dudes really appreciate ur support...the bubbler is working for about 2 weeks and the plants are huge compared to the ones in soil...some inside pics i´ve taken hope u enjoy...once again tks...it´s been fun doing this hydro....

Yep, it sure looks like it works. The plants look a lot like some I have. Do u happen to know the variety?

Yes m8 Original Haze is the strain....it works fine
