Deep water culture only thread

Damn, those are some lovely roots.

Question for those who use Canna Nutes. How soon from seed do you start using them and what PPM do you start them at. Seems like you need to run them much less in DWC than they recommend.

I use a 400 watt hps, first time grower and when I started them out at 450pmm, I fried my little babies.

They are flushing now and recovering, but will start them on nutrients again at only 100ppm, then increasing by 100ppm each week.

Just got my DWC kit today. i have read some on it and decided to go with it for my first hydro. i have some snow white & aurora indica seeds to start with. looking forward to all the info i can get.

ILL START OFF BY SHOWIN THE HEART OF MY SMALL ROOM.....LIGHTS AND VENTILATION......I THINK THESE ARE TWO OF THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS TO HAVE...SO HERE IT IS ....2 600WATT HPS GALAXY DIGITAL BALLASTS WITH COOL TUBES AND 600W HPS HORTILUX EYE BULBS.....VENTILATION IS ALL RAN OFF OF ONE 8" CAN FAN AND FILTER. THE CARBON FILTER IS IN THE CARDBOARD BOX I MADE FOR IT...THE BOX IS IMPORTANT TO MAKE THE VACUM NEEDED TO EVACUATE THE HOT AIR...MORE PICS ON THIS IN A MINUTE...

how big can you go in a 2"cup?

Alright this is what the inside of my room looks like......the picture of the wall with a square hole in it is just that....on the otherside of the hole is the carbon filter and cardboard box i made sit....with the fan ontop of the carbon filter and setup just like this you are doing more than one job with this one fan...so you dont need any intake or exhaust...just one exhaust....if you study the pics you will notice the fan pulls all the air out of the room as well as through the cool tubes.all i have for an intake is a piece of 8" ducting on the floor that goes through the wall...u kind of want these spaced apart...i also used filters infront of my fresh air intake and cool tube intake so i dont get dust and bugs in my room or on my bulbs....

And as far as your 2" cup....im not to sure i always use 5 gallon buckets and lids with 6" net pots....the 2" cup would work great for a home made veg container.....but i root all my clones in my areo rooter....im in the process of makin a new one.....

Also fred1 you guessed it i only use canna nutrients...been usin em for 5 years now
