I used peat puck's. But don't recommend them for DWC they can mold.

yep, and peat is weird with ph too; i think it's 5? but you can ph it, and days if not hours later, the ph will be way back down. i shy away from peat.

rw is good, and aerocloner would probably work best for you in the long run. easily made for around 50$ or under. if you like, i can tell you how. maybe even throw some pix in.

for a homemade aerocloner, you will need 5 360degree spray heads (plumbing dep at lowes), some 1/2 inch pvc pipe, some 3/4 inch pvc pipe, 3 3/4 inch elbows, 2 3/4 inch caps, one 3/4 inch T and a 150-190gph submersible pond pump (garden section, lowes)

very simple, you make a manifold, and install the spray heads, and plug it up. it is recomended that your cutting sites be 2'', and that you use neoprene plugs and collars, but i pull my slips at first root, so a 1/2 inch hole is perfect for me.

this is a great way to root cuttings, no medium at all, and roots (usually) in five days, more if it's a pesky strain, but still sooner than with rw or soil.

and let's see if i can do some pix now...

i use tire mulch fromthe home depot garden section. it is recycled tires made into a mulch. It is an actual hydropnic medium i found listed on web. But is just read lava rock actually is hell of a good medium, as in it beat eveyting else somehow in a test on weed. Cannastats had it. I am also root ing clones in a ebb and flo tiremulch system for fun and it works. The only way i have taken clones and they all rooted fine was in a dwc system. Just put an airstone in a coffee can. pop holes in the lid, half inch wide. I did 5 clones that all grew this way. lol that is ghetto.
