| | Plans for a cheap hydro setup. | |
So this is my setup, I plan on loading up the nutrients into each reservoir and when the water runs low I'll water it through the plants making it so I do not have to take anything apart to refill it.
Also would I be better off losing the perlite and simply using nutrient rich water at the right PH? |

| | looks a bit crazy to me,
easy cheap option here, this is so easy and so cheap to make.
first off what you need is some containers, large plastic ones that sit inside each other or turn one around and they stack.
get yourself a water pump and the correct hose to fit
make a 2 holes in the top tray, 1 just big enough to get the hose through, the other one needs to be half the size.
fill the bottom tray with nute solution put your pump and hose together so the hose just pops thru the hole but the pump sits on the bottom, stack the tray with the holes in on top of the nute tray and you got yourself a flood and drain system, your going to need just rockwool cubes for a medium and you could use some expanded clay pebbles such as hydroton.
total cost of the system,
containers 5 each = 10
pump 20
rockwool 4 inch cubes 0.5 each
hydroton 12 for a 50 litre sack
total cost 42 plus rockwool |

| | it doesnt really matter really, i think they all have things to offer the plants, every site tries to sell theres, so they will tell you it has some miracle ingredients that do this that and the other,
i use ionic myself, ive tried a few out and these suit my needs, because its a one part for grown and bloom, some nutes you have to add equal amounts of grow a and grow b to get the same thing, which can be a proper pain in the ass.
I also like ionic because they do a hard water formulation which means you can use water straight out the tap and it will break it down and drop the ph for you |

| | ok, Well I don't have any cannabis nutrients all I have is a plant food that has 10% nitrogen 7% phosphate, and 6% iron. I also have another one that has .50% magnesium, .10% iron, and .05% zinc, will these be good for my plants? |

| | that will keep your plant alive, you will do well though to get some specific nutrients and that are related to hydro as well if your going to go hydro, otherwise it could clog up your pumps,
also from the list you gave me there are some other nutrients that are missing |

| | well I got some gravel instead and transplanted all of my plants into that with a bit of soil, and some root stimulator in the water. How often would I need to water this since the medium holds no water? | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
