Default hydro setups

Lookin to get into hydro soon, i was wondering if anyone had any ideas for a simple, first time setup, Pics would be helpful. I have a small aquarium air pump as well as a 3in round airstone to oxengenate the water and keep the roots happy. But i don't get how the feeding works, are the roots constantly soaking in plain water which is well oxegenated? Then somehow nutes are passed through multiple times daily, and reused? Am I even close?
