I just harvested my last two plants and must leave on a trip soon! I could be gone as long as a month. I know ideally you would be cracking open jars daily so the buds can breath, but I don't have weeks to do that. If they are somewhat dry, will they be safe from molding? I would hate to get home and find my whole harvest moldy or mushy! How dry should I go?????

Hmm, I've never had this problem before... but if I were in your shoes, I think I'd put the buds in air tight bags, put em in the freezer and deal with it when I got back.

I was considering that freezer option, but I read that somehow freezing the buds draws the moisture to the outside and can harm trichomes, reducing potency. has anyone ever stored in the freezer and noticed anything? I have no first hand experience with it...

Its true, freezing it can harm the trichs a lil bit... but it'll be fine. Its a lot better than a hasty dry which will make it taste like ass.

I think you will end up with a reduction in potency either way. I would stick with the freezer method to reduce chances of mold or mildew during curing, and avoid that hasty dry.

I am on my 6th day drying with half, and on day 3 with the rest of the crop. I have almost a week to cure with the first batch. Still not enough time??

id say 1 weeks gets em a little cured but if your going away you cant take chances on getting mold. you can also try those little humidity catchers that come in pill bottles. they might not work for a whole month but im sure they will do some good in a cool dark place. id agree with your original plan go half and half, then you got comparison for future storage.
