My widow is at about 12 weeks into flower im using 400w hps and have stopped giving her nutes, just water and molass. I had a couple problems wit the light i lost power for 6 hours one day and another time a problem with the timer so my plant is a little behind but getting there. My trichs are about 18% amber the rest cloudy and maybe few still clear. The buds dont look that dense though im wondering if there is any other ways to tell what stage of maturity my buds are . im leaving for vacation in 2 weeks i was hoping i can harvest in a week dry for a week bring them with me for the cure. Do you think if i wait three weeks after my trip they will be over matured tell me what you guys think im getting impatient

Yea they'll be dirt brown by that time. dat 6hrs messed u up. U need a microscope bra. Really it sounds about another week for 50% to be amber. Even a mag glass can help you.

i got a scope thats how i came up with the 18% percent amber trichs. I realized that the few hours of light lost have delayed my harvest date but does anyone know if this could effect potency? Im just worried that maybe my plant isnt going to ripen properly or not be very dense due to some circumstances possibly high humidity or high temp, there were a few days where it was getting a little higher than 90 degrees and over 65 percent relative humidity. Hopefully they will fatten up and amber up in the next two weeks. I made a little dry box to dry my buds quick when there done, with a cpu fan wired up to a 6 volt power adapter and it seems to be working good. I cut off a little piece of bud to test it out, it weighed .7 wet and I waited until it weighed .2 . I smoked it in a pipe it tasted pretty good, mostly smooth, a hint of citrus fruit got me a little heady high i was hoping to get stoned off it but i realize it was only .2 and it was a smaller popcorn bud very leafy. Im really excited to harvest, dry and cure these buds and get a finished product to share with my friends.
