I was thinking the SAME thing. I always love making Venison jerky and I started thinking if I could put buds on my dads 6 story jerky dehydrator.

If you disable the heating element then it would work alright.... i dont think using it w/o moding it would be a very good idea. If i am correct food dehydrators use heat and air movement to dry foods, if you take the heat out of the equation than you just have air movement in a closed container w/ vented shelves. Just my 2cents....

You will need to control the temp, no higher than 84degrees f. this will require a rheastat etc. I built one using a food dehydrator, its in the DIY area, several are posted there. VV

I used one for drying my water cured bud. It works pretty good. Just keep an eye on them so they don't get too dried out. And it doesn't work well for larger buds. They end up getting mashed between the shelves.
