Default Older buds matured, new buds sprouting... What to do?
I am 63 days into flowering and some of the older buds have started to mature. Trichomes are about 50% cloudy on the bigger buds. I had to transplant a week ago because my plants were root bound. Now new smaller buds have started to pop up on the branches. What should I do about this if harvest is coming soon?

I've got the same prob w/my sativas . . . I went ahead and harvested the top 4/5ths of the plants and left the newer, lower buds, which have grown a little in the week since I cut it. Basically cut the stalk at the first node junction w/growth nearest the soil.
Very nice grow you've got there.

Good question. I will be watching for answers. I forsee the same problem for me. I been planning on doing the same as far as a half harvest and letting the rest mature.

honestly i dont know if risking cutting off certain nugs would be worth sending your plants into a shock and losing the new guys, i would just harvest everything when your pistils are like 80 percent colored, i would just be happy with your grow wich looks very good by the way, maybe cut off your matured pieces and spray down with some superthrive, sugar daddy, and anti wilt, that is your best shot at continuing growth with the new nuggies starting, good luck with all you do and remember SMILE WITH THE RISING SUN

Pistils have jack shit to do with anything. You can take a few mature branches without hurting the plant. It wont go into shock unless you cut more than 60% of it off, MANY MANY people do it all the time, it will be fine. Dont listen to bad advice, you dont need all that shit just to stage harvest your plant. The very next day after taking 3 of the mature buds, my younger growth started to thrive.

Look at the trichs to tell when its reaady, if you dont wanna invest in a scope for $10 then you should quit growing all together, because your wasting your time without one. They have a WAYS to go if they are just starting to get cloudy.......A ways to go. But LOOKIN GOOD my man so dont rob yourself by harvesting TOO EARLY

when you cut the mature buds off or the top half off.. you allow the plant to concentrate all its energy to the portion that is left.. not only makes them grow more.. but it allows them to mature.. if your a comercial grower it's not worth it.. but if its the different between someones 2-4 ounces harvest being half what they want it to be.. then yeah why not trim as they mature.. do you harvest the whole vegatable plant when one of the vegtables is ready??? no you pick as the ripen and more grow... If you make a nice cut without hacking up the plant.. you wont shock it.. your doing it and yourself a favour by giving the bottom more light and time to ripen...

Im having the same problem, where the upper branches are 50/50 amber trichomes and the lower branches are still clear and small buds. So i can harvest the top half of the plant and the smaller buds will still grow? Do i still have to flush the soil if i do this?
