you dont have to worry to much about mold when drying except for excess moisture in the room that you are drying in. Most of the time the mold comes from flowering stage. If there is mold you should not smoke the bud it causes problems with your lungs and make you sick. I know its horrible to throw away bud but you just have to do it! A dehumidifier will help you out alot with that problem!

Are you talking about in flower stage or in or after harvest? Question was a little vague.

Mold on bud already? Trash

Preventative? Shouldn't have a prob as long as its drying in a cool, dark, dry, well ventilated area.
