DAMN!

Have just lost most of one of the nicest buds I had drying. I'd almost forgotten about it so it's my fault for not airing it well enough.

Easily an ounce+ donkey bud and maybe one of my biggest ever. Nebula too.

SO... I'm doing a hash pass soon anyway but any time I've experimented with 'tainted', slightly mouldy bud I have had a nasty white layer that taints the hash.

Does anyone think a brisk wash before I start blitzing might get rid of it?
Bah.. thing is then it'll be dried and frozen I guess. Only about 5% or so is affected but it's all around the core.

no experience working with tainted stuff, i would expect a wash to do very little for mold, but it may sweep off alot of trich's. If it's only 5 % contaminated wouldn't it be easier to just trim out the mold ?

Thanks for the reply, have trimmed as much as possible... added to my trim it should really bump up my hash pass. It serves me right for trying to dry such a big bud whole (wider and taller than a 500ml can).

Im really fussy with what I smoke right now as i've recently been having some scary breathing difficulties which may or may not be related to some scary-ish chest Xrays at the start of this year. In fact it's just been bud yoghurts for me recently and I really miss a smoke.

I've been thinking about a Vaporiser but have had bad experiences with cheap models (a 'hi' model from around 10 years ago) and expensive models like the Volcano might be out of my price range (although Im not sure of the cost).

Has anyone had any experience with more mid-range Vaporisers? Are the handheld models any good? I am a dedicated Chilum smoker and rely on my weed for pain and anxiety so need the biggest hit possible while still being safer on my lungs. I'm sure there are alot of new models out there that have passed me by so any reccomendations please let me know. I'm sure I would stump up the money for an expensive model if it worked well.

there is a vap that is about 150 thats designed for med users cant think of the name right now but i'll get back to you on that one. the volcano can be bought for anywhere from 300-700 just depends who's got them in stock around here they stay about 450.

People do keep reccomending the volcano- although i remember Remo off of urban grower reviewing something in his mailbag section that he said was a close second best- cant find the clip, but if anyone remembers.

Looks like Ill buy a volcano cos people still say they get that skuny taste we all love and managed to get wasted from half a bag i think!

I'd like to know what the 'Vapir' handheld digital ones at around £160 are like?

I have been fighting breathing problems most my life. I loved smoking and the high and all but it was taking a toll on my lungs. After many bouts with pnemonia from taking injections for my arthritis, they lowered the immune system. I decided like you to try vaping. I did the low to middle vaps. The box and heat gun and then the Volcano. I bit the bullet and saved and finally got the Cano. I got it off E-bay and they have used and refurb. model much lower than new. My breathing is tremendously improved and am so glad I got it. Best purchase for my health and would highly encourage you to try it. Good luck.

someone on this board bought the volcano bag setup, and just bought a $100 heat gun instead of the volcano base. seems like it should work the exact same, or close enough. Total, it would cost you about $200.
look around in the DIY section. there is also a video of him using it on youtube. i am thinking about doing that as well.

I think it was FDD that said he used a heat gun. I tried it, to me it was way to much work and a little dangerous. If not careful easy way to get burned. Just my opinion
