Here's Audrey in day 46 of flower. Double Gum is supposedly ready to harvest in 45-50 days, but I've gathered it's typically best to give it more like 60+

While Audrey's buds aren't so fat as I might like, I'm just happy that she's alive. Audrey is my first plant which I've raised this far, and has survived all my best efforts to kill her. (She has only had a week or so of HPS, but I can definitely see the difference. If you're trying to flower using CFLs, get thee a HID and quickly...).

Any thoughts on how much longer I should give her will be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: I should note that she has seven colas which are approximately that size: she may be small but she's not THAT small...

I'd say let her go atleast another 2 weeks, it looks like you got a lot of white hairs on there still... how close is your light , cause if looks like your burning your baby, that or too strong on the nutes... yea i would go with nutes cause if it was heat the hairs would be redish brown...

I have begun flushing her with pure pHed water, so if it's a nute burn that should take care of it.

The grow tent is getting a bit warmer than I like (high 80s to low 90s at midday); I am going to have to improve the exhaust and/or purchase a cooltube for the next round. (Four DP Twilight fems, two G13 Afghan Mafias).

days if not a week or so it should be done, typically people use a 75% colored hair ratio. once the white hairs, 75% of them turned brown, youre done. the other way would be to use a magnifying glass and look at the trichomes (crystals on the plant) using this method you can get an exact due date opposed to just looking over the hairs..

yea you need to get those temps under control man, that explains the crispyness...... yea I am not sure what your growing under(how many watts?) be generally those flower times are what the breeders do it in, people who have a solid understanding of precisely what that strain needs. I am not saying you don't but those time are just a guideline, you want to go off what the plant tells you.... just read up in the FAQ on how to determine when to chop and you should be golden.

Well, she's back under CFLs -- the HPS bulb blew (my second one). Rather than replacing the bulb again, I'm thinking about scrapping out the damned light altogether and getting a CoolTube for my next flowering, which should be happening in a couple weeks. (I'm not thrilled with HTG's discount ballast. It's impossible to remove the current lamp/socket and replace it without opening the damn thing up).

from the looks of it your plants have a long way to go. I just grew a plant that was supposed to flower in 30 days. they look pretty, the thing is i cut a few branches an left the mass of them to grow. they have now been in flower for over three months. depends on how much you value your harvest. hps is the way to go as far as yeild, cool tubes are tits if you can hook them up.

That sucks man, HPS bulbs are expensive too, well my 1000watters are atleast. I would call HTG and tell them about it, how many hours did you have on the two bulbs that blew? was it just this grow that two blew on you? cause if lost to bulbs on one grow i would defiantly contact them, somethings not right... unless your getting your bulbs wet and there exploding....well either way good luck hope you can salvage it and get some bomb
