cure for at least a week, but some people that have the resources to wait swear that up to a year curing would be best.

Many people say, like other factors when growing marijuana, that it's strain specific... that each strain has a "sweet-spot" anywhere from freshly dried all the way up to a year curing. Personally I believe a decent cure shouldn't be shorter than three weeks and can go all the way up to 6 months. I've also read that for long term storage after a short cure you can keep your stash in a freezer and it will slow the process down, though I've never tried it.
My recommendation is dependent upon how much you have. If you have enough to sample your stash at different times during the cure that would probably be best. That way you can find out what kind of cure you like. If you don't have much and you can wait long enough, then I'd recommend at least a 4-5 week cure. Good Luck, hope this helps.
