moisture meter for drying and curing buds

Do any of you use a moisture meter to monitor your buds drying and curing? or do you guys just go by feel? I was thinking you could use a wood moisture meter to measure it while drying and curing to be more precise. I live in a really dry place so I was thinking it would be more beneficial to me then just doin it the old fashioned way. lemme know if you guys have any experience with this...

it dosnt sound like a bad idea, I've never heard of it being used, just one problem, who the hell knows what moisture reading you want with bud :P

well I know that after all is said and done that 10% moisture is pretty ideal...but I kinda wanna use it to figure out when to start curing. I mean obviously I could do this the good old fashioned way but if this can give me more accuracy for better buds then I may try it. I just dont know the specific numbers I would be looking for...or hell...if it would even work...lol...maybe I am mad

hoho!!!! I would say go for it, but that thing costs over 300 bucks!!! thats alittle steep, I would just go with the old fasioned way and buy an ounce :P

I just so happen to have access to one. I am in the construction industry and have a few friends with meters. they cant guarantee they will work since a bud isn't solid...i have spoken hypothetically with them. but i have heard about people knowing the moisture content of their buds after curing...how the fuck else would they do it?...I dunno but I am gonna stick one of these things to a few different buds and see what i come up with....i will let everyone know...and I will do some more research...but if anyone knows numbers please let me know
