Hey fellas,

Been roughly a week in the curing process. Not to sure about the genetics of the strain but i was assured that it was dank. Unfortunately the signs all point to shwag. The curing jar emits a pungent scent but the buds itself do not smell of dank yet smells a bit woody. When the bud are agitated it emits that pungent scent. In addition, I got some friends to smoke it and the smoke definitely smells like shwag. It got the job done and got everyone high but i'm wondering if further curing will improve the smoke and high? O yeah if curing doesn't improve the smoke how can I improve it?

Cureing will in fact cause a much better high as for the taste if it did not help then put some orange peels in jar with bud.

1 week isnt enough time to cure! I'd say at the very least 2 or 3 weeks.

I was watching a youtube video of some guys pimping the super silver haze they grow, and they claimed to cure for 6 months(!?) before presenting it for judging at the cannabis cup.

Thanks for all the advice! So I'm going to wait a few more weeks and just added a small piece of orange peel in the jar.

So is it normal that the buds don't smell?

usaully there is a common relation between smell and potency but SOMEtimes if it smells bad it can still be reall good stuff.

cure for the best part of a month, you may aswell since you've come so far.

and when you add the orange peel make sure its dry so it doesnt start mould.
