you think they're pure indicas? they're from bagseed and the bud they're from was a really head high, so maybe a sativa-indica cross?. Also, they're feminized seeds - i got real lucky, must have come from a hermy.

Your leaves are pretty broad/stout looking but they could be sativa too.You will know for sure when they are done growing and if they are harvested right. It will be very easy to distinguish a sativa genetic plant over a early harvested plant with a buzz rather then a actual head high.

how do you maintain a mother? how do you keep a plant from growing too large?

you grow it with low wattage fluorescent bulbs if you want it to stay vegging and not overgrow your spot.metal halide is just good or better but grows them to fast, if you plan on keeping them awhile for cloning.

A scope is the best way to determine what kind of high and when you should harvest. Some strains are done with a lot of white hairs or others produce more colored like orange hairs. It really comes down to the trichomes or crystals that form on the leaves but primarily the buds. I flush soon and watch it finish.

welcome But im curious what strains finish to full maturity with all white hairs?? If your harvesting your plants with all white hairs then its probably not done.harvesting the buds at peak potency is ideal if you want decent bud.just looking at the resin glands and saying oh there milky white so that means i can harvest and get a head high,when most of the time its more of a buzz then a actual high. If the only way to find out maturity was with a scope what would people have done thousands of years ago??I dont think radio shack was around and i dont think they would go from plant to plant with a scope in a field of 700 plants.The buds will tell you when they are ready.I guess the point is if you want a head high get some sativa.

I have the same issue with that here, GF thought i loved the "ladies" more then her.... 2 weeks after my first harv after she sampled some buds, she quit the bitching because she claimed "i didnt know pot could be that strong". We live in the boonies where a bag is priced higher then gold. That is the biggest reason i took to DIY.

I actually harvested these guys yesterday. It was probably the earliest i could have possibly harvested, reason being i had the clones that needed to get into the big grow room fast. The trics were all milky with a few amber, which is fine because i like the head high anyways, body stoning bud is easy to get around me. I quick dried a bud and rolled a doobie yesterday...wow! i was really surprised at the potency, and they're only going to get better after curing from what i hear. it had a great taste and boy was i out there. i promised myself not to smoke any more of it until after it is completely cured...this is gonna be tough haha. I did make some hash though, so thatll help. thanks to everyone on this forum for helping me, i know i havent posted much but that mostly because i got my info by looking at other people's posts. I also have another plant a few weeks into flower and now 5 clones that are at 5 nodes that i put into 12/12 with my other plant today. My first set of plants i grew too large for the light supply i have, so maybe flowering at 5 nodes from clones will be different.
