Just a quick qestion. My ladies are 6 weeks in flower. The pistils are 75% orange. Can i harvest now or should i wait. Will there be any difference in potency if i harvest now. I knwo teh yeild will be smaller but to be honest i have 3 plants and a few rookie mistakes made them short and not to full. All of the leaves are now yellow and just die off. Actually its more like a plant of buds with no leaves. I just want to knwo if i can harvest now and start over with a new batch.

Would i still get stoned with the buds as is or will it be a waste of my time. I don't really know how much longer they will go for. They just don't look too healthy.

you should still get stoned, I would check the trichs though, that is the only way to tell if you can harvest or not.

first, what are trichs, second how can i tell. I have alot of crystals. They are full of that. Can you explain what i should be looking for.

the trichomes..... they hold the resin (thc), if the trichs are not mature enough, you wont get very high, just a headache. the crystals are what you need to look at, he crystals are the trichs, but you can't tell what color they are with the naked eye, you need a microscope, at least 30X........ less than 15 bucks at radio shack, or look on the internet, i bought mine off the net.

ok. so they should be what colour?

it depends on what kind of high your looking for.......

when the trichs are clear- not mature, don't harvest (where they probably are right now)
trichs are cloudy- up soaring high (daytime smoke)
trichs are amber- couchlock type (bedtime smoke)
trichs are 50/50 cloudy/amber- good mix, all around buzz.
