I have a delemia.
I travel a lot. I can water and such from the road. But the drying and curing is going to be a prob.

From what I have gathered, drying is just hanging and waiting a week(ish) But the curing involves the jars and refreshing the air a few times a day to every few days.

Are there any stand alone curing methods?

The water method looked good to me, but also have the same issues.

I *might* be able to create an automated nitrogen purge curing jar. And replace the N2 automatically (Keep in mind air is 80% N2)

I got that much so far. just looking for a curing option that doesn't need daily attention.

LOL Sure TSA won't mind in the least. Its not a liquid or gel in excess of 3.4 oz.

I get the little notes fro the TSA in my checked bags all the time letting me know they went through it.

Have a buddy do it for you. I can't think of any realistic way to leave them at home AND open the jars a couple times a day.

Other option would be to not cure it. But many people here would call that a crime, lol.

i was thinking about this the other day.. would it be worth it to tube the tops of a couple jars together and hook em up to a pump and a timer... just to cylce the air a few times a day, maybe add a filter... i was actually thinking along the lines of a dorm frig modified to control the humidity, air flow, temp what not for various curing and drying and put on a timer... just an idea i had

Have a vac pump in mind? I've been pondering a HVAC pump for a while for various uses. Buts its pricey ($200 US)
The solenoid valves aren't much of an issue (though still trying to fond some more cheap)
